The Eau Claire City-County Health Department has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Public Health Specialist. This position requires public health knowledge and experience as well as excellent project management, planning, grant management, analytical, and communication skills. This position will support public health emergency preparedness and response activities in Eau Claire County through work with local and regional coalitions and emergency response partners, community-based organizations, volunteers, and the general public. The position will be responsible for providing leadership in developing public health emergency preparedness plans, training and exercising related to emergencies and meeting public health preparedness grant requirements. In addition to public health preparedness this position will be responsible, assuring strong community and partner collaboration, providing clear and actionable public communication, and supporting broad project management work in the department.

This full-time position has schedule flexibility and a pay range of $28.72-33.79/hour. We also offer an excellent benefits package consisting of health and life insurance, matched contributions into a retirement fund, paid holidays, and generous vacation and personal leave.
