The Eau Claire City-County Health Department has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Public Health Specialist. This grant funded position requires both public health and clinical knowledge and experience as well as excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. This position will coordinate activities in the Chippewa Valley Region to ensure sustainability of the National Diabetes Prevention Program through working with coalitions, health systems, insurers, employers, community-based organizations, and consumers. The position will be responsible for providing leadership for grant-related activities, assuring strong community and partner collaboration, providing grant-related communication, and ensuring adequate progress is made toward meeting project objectives. You would be joining an accredited health department with a wide variety of programs and a collaborative dynamic agency where every employee plays a critical role in promoting and protecting the health and safety of the people in our community. This full-time position has schedule flexibility and a pay range of $28.72-33.79/hour. We also offer an excellent benefits package consisting of health and life insurance, matched contributions into a retirement fund, paid holidays, and generous vacation and personal leave.
