Pediatric Research Internship Program
The Research Internship Program in the Pediatric Department at Hennepin County Medical Center hosts undergraduates, graduate students, and post-graduate students interested in health care field to participate in data collection for academic research projects. As Research Interns, students are afforded the opportunity to learn basic methodologies in clinical research, interact with patients, conduct surveys, and observe the practice of pediatric medicine.
Current Project: Children's HealthWatch

Background: Children's HealthWatch is a research project taking place in five US cities. Caregivers are asked to participate in an interview while the child is seen in the pediatric care clinic. More information about our work and all of our publications is available at www.childrenshealthwatch.org.
Intern Duties: The study involves a one-time survey which takes about 30-40 minutes with caregivers. Research Interns will recruit participants, explain research project, obtain consent, interview the caregiver, and provide resources.
Commitment: 100-120 hours total
